In June and July 2021, the Fog City Singers reconvened for the first time in 15 months for 3 outdoor rehearsals in the San Francisco Bay Area, with several guest singers in tow. We prepared 3 new songs that seemed particularly relevant following a year of COVID-induced lockdown, during which singing together in person was impossible, and then filmed a few takes of each song at the final rehearsal.

“Santa” Fe” from Newsies, performed at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2018 International Chorus Contest in Orlando, Florida. 7th place finish.

"Demon in My View" by Jeffrey Horvath, with words by Edgar Allen Poe. Performed at our “City Walk” concert on May 11, 2018 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco, California.

"America Will Be!" by Paul John Rudoi (text by Langston Hughes). Performed at our "Colors" concert on August 3, 2019 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco, California.

"Dawn, Unhindered" by SF-based composer Eric Tuan, from haiku written by Japanese Americans imprisoned in domestic internment camps in World War II. Commissioned by Chris Lewis and the Fog City Singers for the CCDA 2019 in San Jose, California.

"I Won't Send Roses" from Mack & Mabel, a barbershop ballad arranged by Theo Hicks. Performed at our "Colors" concert on August 3, 2019 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in San Francisco, California.

“Who’s Lovin’ You” arr. Aaron Dale, originally by Smokey Robinson. Performed at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2017 International Chorus Contest. 9th-place finish.
